There has been a constant discussion around the recently released poster of PM Narendra Modi biopic. Directed by Omung Kumar B, the film stars Vivek Anand Oberoi in and as PM Narendra Modi and will be produced by Suresh Oberoi and Sandip Ssingh. The makers dropped the first poster of the film on Monday and ever since, the social media is abuzz with reactions and opinions.
Sandip Ssingh, the film's producer, has now revealed why Vivek Oberoi is the perfect fit for the film. In an exclusive interaction with ZoomTV.com just a day after the poster launch, he shared that when he first decided to do the film, it took him about three years to add people and value to it.
“When I approached Vivek, he said yes immediately. And I wanted an actor like him,” he said.
On being asked if there's any particular reason behind the casting, Ssingh shared that there are many. He said, “I think he is one actor who is dedicated, passionate, mad, crazy! Also, I needed an actor who has a considerable amount of experience. He has been in the industry for 18 years now.”
“In his first year, he did Saathiya and Company, so I think he can do anything. He is a fantastic actor,” he added. (Also read: Here's presenting Vivek Anand Oberoi's first look in and as PM Narendra Modi - full poster inside)
Ssingh revealed that he's the one they approached and added, “I needed an actor who could dedicate almost two years of their acting. Which actor will sit down and do 7 hours of makeup and 15 times look tests only for the poster?” (Also read: While Vivek Oberoi's film on PM Modi is creating buzz, here's what Paresh Rawal has to say on his Modi biopic)
“I don't think.. In today's time, everyone is into money making, he's the only one who is giving so much to the film - his soul, his life. Someone giving around 800 days for one film, it's a big thing,” he explained.
While the makers haven't divulged many details about the film, the viewers are curious to know what all aspects of PM Modi's life will make it to the film.
